About
Beauty in Community is a new initiative designed to support families during some of their most vulnerable times. We believe that the beauty industry can have a positive impact on the community in more ways than meets the eye.
Beauty in Community began with a Lived Experience Advisory Group — where beauty, health, self-worth and confidence kept coming up as a real, unmet need for people navigating Domestic/Family Violence and Coercive Control.
We provide care packages, sourced entirely through beauty brand donations, to people going through this — reached only through accredited and approved shelters, caseworkers and support services.

FAQ
This is a passion project by me (angie vida). Born out of a need I saw firsthand through my own lived experience as well as conversations with individuals and a lived experience advisory group — beauty, self-worth, and care kept coming up as something people navigating domestic and family violence genuinely missed. I run this as an unpaid, independent volunteer coordinator — not a charity, company, or DGR.
I coordinate product donations between beauty brands and partnered agencies. I am not a counsellor or case manager and I do not offer domestic violence services, tax, legal, medical, cosmetic, or therapeutic advice.
Packages are only available through a partnered support agency/NFP/charity. Beauty in Community does not take individual requests or hold any personal information about recipients.
The curation of brands, products and services are a combination of personally requested brands due to my own experience with the efficacy and integrity of the products and founders as well as any beauty brands and businesses that want to get involved in this social impact project. Each package is customised to the agency's requests and dependent on the needs of their clients.
